They are arrested under fabricated accusations. Almost all of them undergo torture, ill-treatment, or other types of violence, deprived of information, access to legal aid, and communication with their families.

1️⃣ Post on social media
On Christmas Eve or a few days before Christmas, post on social media the images and text to remind your audience about the civilians detained by Russia. It could be both your organization’s social media pages and your personal ones.
Primary media are X(Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook.
Post the images with the portraits and stories of the detainees (choose one or several ones) along with suggested text👇 or compose your own posts based on the key messages:
Variant 1
While we’re preparing for Christmas, they’re preparing for another round of interrogation and torture.
Thousands of Ukrainian civilians are detained and tortured by Russia. We need a united international effort to bring them home. #FreeUkrainians
Variant 2
Captured. Kidnapped. Deprived of help. Thousands of Ukrainian civilians will spend this year's Christmas in Russian detention.
We need united international efforts to bring them home.
Together, we can bring good tidings to their kin. #FreeUkrainians
Optional second post to make a thread
These crimes are systematic. In 8 regions of Ukraine, either currently or previously occupied, over 100 torture chambers have been identified. Ukrainian detainees are tortured, deprived of legal aid and contact with their relatives. In detention, there are no Christmas miracles.
2️⃣ Print the posters and put them on display them near the Christmas tree in your hometown or city or anywhere else people can see them.
